The CLA Church Leaders Summit is a one-of-a-kind event for the executive managers of today’s Church. While other conferences focus on the ministry side of pastoral leadership, this summit emphasizes the business side of church ministry. Whether you manage church finances, budgets or staff, this summit is designed specifically for you! As a church leader you are called to Christ-honoring excellence in the way that you manage finances, lead people and guide budgets, and this Summit is designed to help equip you for excellence in your unique Kingdom role.

All Workshops are Group Live and worth 5.5 credits each.


Who Should Attend?

Executive Pastors, Church Business Administrators, Human Resource Directors, Treasurers, Chief Financial Officers and Senior Pastors who share responsibility for these roles. Senior Pastors, Executive Pastors, Business Administrators and others with responsibility for the leadership and management of the church.

The Transforming Power of Organic Outreach

It is critical to keep your church outwardly focused. Organizations, by their very nature, tend to move inward. God, by His very nature, calls us outward! This session will focus on practices that will help your church fuse the Great Commission to its daily mission. After completing this workshop, you will be able to: 1) Identify and celebrate where your church is taking healthy and effective steps outward with the gospel, 2) Acknowledge and face the ways your church is missing the call to fulfill the Great Commission, and 3) Set goals for how your church can infuse evangelistic vision into its daily operations. Creating a High Impact Staff Culture for Your Church

The workshop is based on research published by the Leadership Network linking staff culture as a key driver for high impact churches. We will identify the factors that influence staff commitment in churches and how your culture can be transformed into a healthy, even pioneering ministry. After completing the session, you will be able to: 1) Discover the current level of health for your church, 2) Create your desired culture, and 3) Develop concrete steps to achieve the desired outcome of a high impact culture.

Four Sided Stewardship for Churches

This session will teach us how to apply stewardship principles to our churches. It is designed for pastors, staff members and finance teams who desire to create a stewardship culture in their church. You will gain insights that will help you to maintain the financial integrity of your church, and build stewardship principles into your congregation. After attending this session you will be able to: 1) Build and promote church budgets using ministry goals, 2) Protect your church's financial integrity, 3) Help your church members to find ways to be generous, and 4) Apply Four Sided Stewardship to your ministry.

Gospel Graces: Hospitality, Community, Collaboration: A Model for Church Leaders

Your church exists to share the Good News. Jesus illustrates the Great Commission and Great Commandment through three "best practices": hospitality, community and collaboration, what can be called "gospel graces." These are foundational best practices for leaders and their organizations. Attendees will participate in small group discussion and exercises. After completing this workshop, you will be able to: 1) Define instances of hospitality, community, and collaboration illustrated through Jesus' life and parables, 2) Assess your church and its leadership using hospitality, community, and collaboration as a model, and 3) Implement these best practices into your ministry's vision/mission/core values, and leadership development.
