The Transforming Power of Organic Outreach
It is critical to keep your church outwardly focused. Organizations, by their very nature, tend to move inward. God, by His very nature, calls us outward! This session will focus on practices that will help your church fuse the Great Commission to its daily mission. After completing this workshop, you will be able to: 1) Identify and celebrate where your church is taking healthy and effective steps outward with the gospel, 2) Acknowledge and face the ways your church is missing the call to fulfill the Great Commission, and 3) Set goals for how your church can infuse evangelistic vision into its daily operations. Gospel Graces: Hospitality, Community, Collaboration: A Model for Church Leaders
Your church exists to share the Good News. Jesus illustrates the Great Commission and Great Commandment through three "best practices": hospitality, community and collaboration, what can be called "gospel graces." These are foundational best practices for leaders and their organizations. Attendees will participate in small group discussion and exercises. After completing this workshop, you will be able to: 1) Define instances of hospitality, community, and collaboration illustrated through Jesus' life and parables, 2) Assess your church and its leadership using hospitality, community, and collaboration as a model, and 3) Implement these best practices into your ministry's vision/mission/core values, and leadership development.
